Welcome to my home page!

I am the Math Instructional Coach here in Leeds, which means I work with teachers to provide professional learning opportunities, as well as provide resources for students in Math. This is my 9th year in Leeds, and I love what I do!

I graduated from Auburn University in 2001 with a B.S. in Zoology and moved to Birmingham to attend UAB. I graduated from UAB in 2004 with a Masters in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I began my career in 2004 as a 4h grade teacher in Tarrant City Schools. I taught in Tarrant for 9 years and began coaching Math in 2013 at Leeds Elementary School. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2014 as an Early Childhood Generalist. In 2019, I obtained my administration certification and teaching certification for math in 4th-8th grades. I am currently back in school at UAB seeking my PhD in Early Childhood Education. My plan is to be finished by 2023!

I am married to George Rose, and we have 5 children together. Our youngest daughter will be a freshman at Leeds High next year! It's so hard to believe! Our youngest son is serving in the U.S. Army National Guard overseas, and our oldest son is getting ready to graduate from UAB School of Engineering. Our older daughters are married with one son each. That makes us grandparents, which is also hard to believe! We have three dogs, two cats, and three chickens. We love spending time with family and traveling.
