April Board Meeting Recap

Tuesday, April 15, 2025 – The Leeds City Schools Board of Education met Tuesday, April 15 at the LCS Central Office. Below is a rundown of the meeting:

Board Members present: President Chad Anderson, Crickett Ford, Kathy Dutton, Aaron Moyana, Scott Sisk.

LCS Chief School Financial Officer, Ryan Miller, presented board members with the district’s monthly financial statements from February.
The Board approved Schneider Electric to replace the lighting system at Leeds High School.
The Board approved lowering the number of parent excuses allowed from 10 to 8 for the 25/26 school year.
The Board approved the Science textbook adoption proposals for the 25/26 school year.
The Board approved the bid from Daktronics, Inc. for the Jumbotron Screen, which will be housed at Homer Smiles Stadium.
The board approved the latest personnel recommendations.
Mr. Moore announced that posts are up & and a fence is coming to LES to enclose the parking lot side of the playground area.
Next board meeting is set for May 13th, 2025 at 10 am.
