When it comes to raising kids, navigating school, and keeping up with modern education, we know there is no "instruction manual." But what if you could spend just one evening picking the brains of our district leaders, academic experts, and local professionals?

We are thrilled to officially launch Greenwave U—our brand-new "Parent Academy" designed specifically for YOU!
Instead of asking you to commit to weeks of classes, we’re hosting a one-night-only summit where you can customize your experience, learn practical strategies, and get answers to your biggest questions about your child's education and well-being.

   • Ever wondered how school budgets actually work, what state law restricts, or how school funds are allocated? Join Superintendent Moore for an honest, transparent breakdown of how Leeds City Schools manages its finances—and how every dollar works for our students.
2. Beyond the 4-Core: Exploring Educational Opportunities Beyond the Basic Requirements
   • Led by LHS Career Coach, Catrice Thomas
   • From AP courses and Dual Enrollment to Career Tech and Advanced Diploma graduation requirements, Leeds High School offers incredible opportunities. Come learn how to help your student enhance their high school experience and build a roadmap for college, trade school, or career success!
3. The Tricks Behind the Clicks: Cyber Safety & Protecting Your Child Online
   • Led by SRO Officer Evan Kavli
   • Social media, apps, and gaming spaces change daily. SRO Officer Kavli breaks down the latest online trends, hidden safety risks, and practical tools parents can use to keep their kids safe in a digital world.
4. "They Didn't Teach Math Like This When I Was in School!"
   • Led by LCS Math Coaches
   • Homework time doesn't have to be a battleground! Our LPS & LES math coaches will demystify modern elementary math strategies and give you practical, stress-free tools to support your child at home.
5. "What on Earth is a Blend??" Supporting Your Emerging & Growing Reader
   • Led by LCS Literacy Coaches
   • Decoding phonics, sight words, and reading comprehension can feel overwhelming. Learn simple, high-impact strategies from our reading coaches to grow a confident reader at home—from PreK through upper elementary.
6. From Big Behaviors to Big Connection: Managing Tantrums, Meltdowns, and Big Emotions (Without Losing Your Mind).
   • Led by Grove Counseling
   • Ever wish you had a user manual for your child’s brain? Join the experts from Grove Counseling for an eye-opening session on emotional regulation, childhood/adolescent brain development, and how to help your child navigate stress and anxiety.
