🇬🇧 LEEDS, UK 🤝 LEEDS, ALABAMA! 🇺🇸

We had a very special international guest visit Leeds High School recently!

Lisa Kaye Bell, founder of Soundproof Box all the way from Leeds, UK, stopped by LHS alongside Susann Montgomery from the Megan Montgomery Foundation. Both Leeds High School and UAB are proud grant recipients of the Megan Montgomery Foundation, which works tirelessly to promote healthy relationship education for young people.

Ms. Bell is currently in the U.S. training UAB Theatre students on her acclaimed Red Flags workshop format—creative interactive shows designed to help students recognize unhealthy behaviors and build safe, positive relationship choices.

In September, LHS students will begin their healthy relationship curriculum. Before that kicks off, some leaders from LHS have been invited to UAB on September 12th for an exclusive preview of the performance!

Of course, we couldn't let Ms. Bell leave without making sure she felt right at home in our Leeds. We surprised her with a full bag of Leeds Greenwave gear! Thank you to the Megan Montgomery Foundation and Ms. Bell for investing in the well-being, safety, and future of our students.
