Welcome to Pre K!

Hi, my name is Mrs. Meeks and this is my second year teaching at LPS! I have lived in Leeds for 17 years and have grown to love the community as well as working at Leeds City Schools. Roll Greenwave!

About me

I was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil before moving to the U.S. and starting my adult life! Being Brazilian, I know how to speak Portuguese, my native language, as well as Spanish, fluently. I'm married to my husband, Brandon, for 23 years, and we have three children - Jordon (18), Julia (15), and Emily (13) who also go to Leeds City Schools. I also have two dogs and three cats (I love cats!).

Hobbies

My favorite things to do are going to concerts, traveling, shopping, and hiking - or being outdoors in general. Family time is very important to me, as I love to do these things with my family/friends.

Teaching Credentials

I have a CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential. I am trilingual (English, Portuguese, Spanish). In college, I received a degree in Accounting in Brazil. I also have years of experience in customer service as well as childcare.
