Information about our Media Center

The purpose of the Leeds Primary Library Media Center is to promote reading, to assist teachers in teaching students, and to provide access to information.

There are over 7,000 titles in our collection as well as Chromebooks in the library media center. These work stations provide access to all network applications, including Atriuum, the Alabama Virtual Library, Epic, and filtered access to the Internet.

The Leeds Primary School Library Media Center operates on flexible scheduling. Flexible scheduling allows the use of the LMC at the point of need by individuals, groups, and/or classes. Students also attend the library once a week in their specials rotations for class.

Library Media Center Policies

The Library Media Center is open to all students Monday through Friday, 7:15 – 3:00.

Books may be checked out for a one-week period and renewed as needed. Courtesy overdue notices will be sent home as a reminder to students. There are no fines for overdue books. Lost books will need to be paid for by the last day of school
